Featured is Beach Plum, Prunus maritima
Beach Plum is a round, dense shrub found normally on the East Coast along the shore. Flowers are white, single or double and bloom in early May. Beautiful flowers become delicious fruit .5″-1″ across, purple in color, and ripen in August. Fruits may be used for jams and jellies. Salt tolerant. Super hardy to USDA Zone 3 and grows about 6′ tall and 6′ wide.
