Depending on your zone, the window of time for planting warm season grasses ends sooner than you think.
In just another month or two these grasses will start going dormant as our temperatures drop and sunlight gets scarcer. Being a warm season grass, it needs consistent warm temperatures to get established, and by October this window of time will already be gone, unless you are further south of us. (Areas south of New Jersey). It is our recommendation that you plant soon!
Plant grasses as screens, vertical accents, specimen plants, with prairie flowers, the choice is yours!
Our Ornamental Grass inventory is very good right now! Here are a few we have in stock at the time of this posting. It’s a good idea to call ahead, especially if you are seeking large quantity.
